The Transport Minister will serve in the role till May 2027.
Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat, who is also Second Minister for Finance, will serve as deputy chairman of MAS from Aug 23, 2024, to May 31, 2027.
The central bank said in a statement on July 29 that Mr Chee, who is also Second Minister for Finance, will serve in the role until May 31, 2027.Mr Chee succeeds Deputy Prime Minister and Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong, who was deputy chairman of MAS from July 2023 to May 2024.
