Chase apparently isn't standing by its savings advice. On Monday afternoon, the bank's Twitter account posted some"#MondayMotivation," which consisted of some tips to save money."You: why is my balance so low.Bank account: you don't need a cab, it's only three blocksBank account: seriously?" the tweet read before it was deleted, about 20 minutes after it was posted.
Many replies pointed out the $12 billion bailout package Chase received from the Federal Reserve in 2008, at the height of the financial crisis. The money was paid back the next year, with interest.
