A teacher’s aid at a New Jersey charter school has been arrested on accusations that he sent a sexually explicit photo to a student, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said. Favio Martell, 29, of Garfield, a teacher’s aide and soccer coach at the Paterson Arts & Sciences Charter School, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors said.The Paterson Police Department contacted the Special Victims Unit of the Prosecutors Office last week, reporting that a 14-year-old student at the school had received the image from Martell, authorities said.
He appeared in court on Thursday and was released pending a trial on the condition that he cannot have contact with any minors, officials said.
