Charging EVs can cost $1,800 more annually in public than at home — UK analysis
on Britain's streets can cost up to 1,515 pounds more annually than for those using a charger at home, according to an analysis of fees by pro-EV campaign group FairCharge.
Home chargers range in price from about $600 to over $1,000, not including installation, though they are often subsidized by carmakers. Government figures show that around 40% of Britain's 33 million cars park on the street, compared to around 40% of Americans do not live in single-family homes with garages.
