A 17-year old was killed after crashing into another vehicle at an East Cocalico Township intersection late Friday night.
According to Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni, the collision happened at Garden Spot and North Reading roads shortly before midnight.The crash took place at the border with Ephrata Township, less than two miles northeast of Ephrata Borough. Myers was pronounced dead on the scene, Diamantoni said.
At at 11:45 p.m., emergency crews were sent to the intersection following a report of a two-vehicle crash that left both drivers trapped inside their cars, according to East Cocalico Township police. Police said the other driver was freed by rescue personnel. Afterwards, they were sent to Reading Hospital to be treated for trauma.
Based off of an external examination that was performed on Sunday morning, it was determined that Myers died of multiple traumatic injuries, Diamantoni said. His death was ruled accidental.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
