The national Census 2022 findings for SA are anticipated to be sent to President Cyril Ramaphosa by Statistics South Africa (Stats SA).
At the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Tuesday, the Statistician-General, Risenga Maluleke, will formally present the report to the President. The population and housing count data will be made public.The Presidency reports that Census 2022 was the fourth population and housing count in South Africa after the end of apartheid. The first census was carried out in 1996, and the next ones were carried out in 2001 and 2011.

Furthermore, findings from censuses are key in tracking service delivery programmes over time,” said the Presidency.
