The singer has arrived in Paris and was spotted checking into the Royal Monceau Hotel.

Songs by Canadian singer Celine Dion are being used in "siren battles" in New Zealand. Entertainment outlet TMZ has reported – after she was spotted checking into the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris on Monday – that their"sources with direct knowledge" have told them that Dion"is getting ready to take the stage Friday".

Dion will also reportedly be paid US$2 million for the performance – for just one song.No official announcements have been made although French President Emmanuel Macron has told French broadcaster France 2 that he"would be immensely happy if she could be at this opening ceremony, like all our compatriots".

The 56-year-old My Heart Will Go On singer was forced to stop performing following her 2022 diagnosis of the rare condition Stiff Person Syndrome, which she chronicled in her Prime Video documentary I Am: Celine Dion. Dion has performed at the Olympics before, singing The Power Of The Dream at the opening ceremony for the Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996.
