KOTA KINABALU: Malaysia Day should be celebrated at all levels of society to bring more appreciation towards this important day, says Datuk Ewon Benedick.
He said Malaysia Day should be celebrated by all Malaysians regardless of race, religion and whichever state they come from, just like how the National Day was observed and celebrated.
The Upko president and Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister said these are some aspects of Malaysia Day which should be given more focus and appreciated on a bigger scale. Benedick said this in a statement in conjunction with the 60th Malaysia Day that is celebrated in Kuching, Sarawak. He said there were, however, still many issues and challenges to be addressed especially in terms of economic and infrastructural development.
