A Malaysian fish seller seeks public assistance after CCTV footage captures a thief stealing two boxes of grouper from her family's premises in Penang. The suspect, who appeared to be familiar with the fish delivery routine, stole the boxes in a swift and methodical manner. Police are investigating the incident and urging anyone with information to come forward.

A popular online fish seller in Penang , Malaysia , has taken to social media to seek public assistance after two boxes of grouper, weighing approximately 100 kilograms, went missing from her family's premises. CCTV footage captured the incident, which occurred early in the morning at the Kuala Juru fishing village. It shows a man driving a white car, wearing a black T-shirt, cap, and mask, reversing his vehicle towards the back of a fish delivery truck.

In a swift and methodical manner, he loads the two grouper boxes into his car, which is prepared with cardboard to minimize mess. The entire process takes only a few minutes. The fish seller, known online as 'PP', expressed her frustration, stating that she had been eagerly anticipating selling the grouper to her customers before Chinese New Year. She urged netizens to share the footage widely and contact her if anyone recognized the suspect or had purchased fish from him. PP explained that her family's supplier had followed a decades-old practice of delivering fish to their truck in the early morning. This time, she had ordered three boxes of grouper, each weighing around 50 kilograms. Two of the boxes, placed at the edge of the truck, were easily accessible to the thief. She noted that the suspect had driven past her house once before returning 30 minutes later to commit the theft. PP suspects the thief may be a fellow fish seller, given his familiarity with handling fish and physical strength. She believes the thief likely knew the delivery routine and targeted the easily accessible boxes. Local police have launched an investigation into the incident. PP emphasized that she does not want to accuse anyone without evidence but plans to increase security measures to prevent similar incidents. The case has sparked discussions online, with many expressing support for PP and condemning the theft. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation
