Houston police are looking for suspects they said are responsible for a shooting after hit-and-run crash in southwest Houston Monday.
Officials with the Houston Police Department and Houston Fire Department responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident on S. Sam Houston and Main around 9:45 p.m.
When authorities arrived at the scene, they located a man with a gunshot wound to his back/shoulder area, police said. Cell phone video captured the shooting. According to investigators, three vehicles were involved in a crash and the at-fault driver rear-ended a Nissan Sentra, which struck a blue Honda Accord. Officers said the at-fault driver tried to take off.
Police said the suspects, who were in the Nissan Sentra, followed the shooting victim for about a half a block. When the victim was at a light, the suspects got out of the vehicle and began shooting, police said.An investigation is currently underway as police search for the shooting suspects. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Houston Police Department.
