The owner of a cat care center in Kampung Kubang Terap, Pasir Mas, is worried about over 400 street cats under her care due to impassable floods that have prevented her and her staff from checking on them for two days. The water has risen more than two meters inside the center.

“Dua hari lepas paras air dalam bangunan sudah sampai ke dada. Oleh kerana paras air semakin meningkat dan bimbang keselamatan kucing, kami telah pecahkan sebahagian siling bangunan supaya kucing dapat berlindung di bahagian itu,“ katanya kepada Bernama hari ini. “Kami merancang untuk ke sana hari ini bagi memecahkan bumbung bangunan supaya kucing dapat naik ke tempat lebih tinggi, tetapi dimaklumkan laluan masuk ke pusat jagaan dinaiki air dan hanya boleh dilalui dengan menggunakan bot,“ katanya.
