KUALA SELANGOR: A woman suspected of supplying firearms to an Israeli man has made a representation to the Attorney-General’s Chambers.
The woman was charged under Section 8 of the Firearms Act 1971, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 14 years and no less than six strokes of the cane if convicted. DPP Fazeedah said yesterday that the prosecution was still working on preparing some documents to present to the defence.Counsel Mohamad Isa Mohamad Basir, representing Sharifah Faraha, also filed two applications during the proceedings, asking the warden to refrain from providing false information about the case and allowing his client to undergo an examination at a clinic outside the prison.
