Case management for Zahid VLN appeal fixed for May 12
The prosecution in Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s foreign visa system case is appealing against the court’s decision to acquit and discharge him. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 31, 2023.
Zahid’s lawyers had submitted a representation in January this year asking the Attorney-General’s Chambers to consider discontinuing the prosecution’s appeal. According to the charge sheet, Zahid was alleged to have committed those offences at Seri Satria, Precinct 16, Putrajaya, and Country Heights, Kajang, between October 2014 and March 2018.
