Georgetown Polis giat mengesan pelaku yang menyimbah cat merah pada patung Kapten Francis Light di Kota Cornwallis, Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah.

Kejadian itu disedari pengurus operasi Kota Cornwallis berusia 25 tahun pada 8.13 pagi, 30 Jun lalu sebelum membuat laporan di balai polis berhampiran.

"Struktur patung itu di bawah pengurusan dan jagaan syarikat pengadu dan dia mendakwa tidak pernah bermusuhan atau berhutang dengan sesiapa.
