Captaincy or not, iconic Siya stays available for Boks: 'I want to play'
There was good news for South African rugby fans on Tuesday after Springbok captain Siya Kolisi confirmed that he was not going anywhere just yet on the international stage.
Now 32 years old and having just won back-to-back Rugby World Cup titles, Kolisi will start the latest chapter of his career with French club Racing 92, which he joins from the Sharks in Durban. There is no doubt that the Bok No 6 still has much to offer and is in his playing prime, but there had been strong rumours that this could be the end of the road for him in South African colours. South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future. News24 has kept the country informed for 25 years, and we're about to enter a new chapter of fearless journalism.
