Canucks captain Bo Horvat has had Pearson on his wing for much of the three years the veteran has been a Canuck, though not much lately. And he had to admit he did miss his wingman a little.

And in that stretch, Pearson is putting up points, too. He has five goals and four assists over the past eight games.
“He’s just taking this game to the next level right now,” Horvat added. “Not only on the scoresheet but doing other little things we need him to do, and he’s been doing a heck of a job lately.” It was the second trade of the 2018-19 season for Pearson, who had struggled out of the gate in Los Angeles and was shipped to Pittsburgh. He started well with the Penguins, but then was injured and never found his groove again.
