A Toms River school and a home were the target of the hoax threats.
A 14-year-old from Canada has been charged in two swatting incidents earlier this month in Toms River, officials said Tuesday.
Officers were called to Toms River Intermediate East after being altered to a threat received by the school on Nov. 21,The school was checked and cleared before the start of the school days. Investigators quickly traced the fake threat to a teen from Edmonton, Alberta and also learned he was responsible for a swatting incident a day earlier at a home in town, according to police.Toms River police didn’t specify how the threat was made.
