A train has smashed into a car which became stuck on a railway track between Latrobe and Railton in Tasmania. 7NEWS
It is understood the car was driving along the railway track corridor when it became stuck.“The incident did not involve a level crossing,” Tasmania Police said.
Devonport inspector John King said: “It appears the people have left their car to find a way out, and one of them has then fallen in bushland about 100m away and hurt their ankle.”TasRail CEO Steven Dietrich said that, while the train driver involved in the incident was fortunately unharmed, situations like this were extremely traumatic.A train has smashed into the empty car in the early hours of Monday morning.
