Cambodia to host Asean foreign ministers' meeting

The Foreign Ministers' Meeting and other related meetings will take place in Phnom Penh from July 29 to Aug 5.

Cambodia is the chair of Asean for 2022. Asean groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will preside over the opening ceremony of the foreign ministers' meeting and receive a joint courtesy call by the foreign ministers and the secretary-general of Asean, the statement said. During the meeting, the foreign ministers and the secretary-general of Asean will witness the signing of the instruments of accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia by Denmark, Greece, the Netherland, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, it added.
