Cambodia's Christmas celebrations extend beyond a single day, intertwining with local traditions and commemorating significant historical events.

In Cambodia, people are embracing Christmas festivities, blending it with local commemorations for a week-long celebration. These festivities mark the beginning of the new year , commemorate the end of a 30-year civil war, and acknowledge children's good behavior. New Year 's Day is a national holiday, as is January 7th, which marks the end of Pol Pot's genocide in 1979.

Despite Cambodia's predominantly Buddhist population, Christmas is celebrated widely for its focus on humanity and shared joy. Businesses and communities are adorned with festive decorations, and the spirit of giving is particularly prominent.
