Malaysian Man Forced to Work as Scammer in CambodiaA 32-year-old security guard from Malaysia claims he was forced to work as a scammer in Cambodia. He was allegedly beaten and forced to eat pork and rats if he didn't follow orders. The victim, who traveled to Cambodia from Kuching Airport on July 31, said he was often beaten for refusing to become a scammer. His mother, Sal, 53, said her son initially traveled to Sarawak to meet a friend who offered him a job in Cambodia with a salary of RM5,000. The friend also bought him a flight ticket to Cambodia and told him he would work at a hotel there. Upon arriving in Cambodia, he was forced to become a scammer. However, due to his resistance, he was beaten. He is threatened with imprisonment and starvation if he doesn't meet his targets by December 31. He was also forced to eat pork and rats. The last time he contacted his mother was last night, and the syndicate demanded a ransom of RM12,000.
