It’s “perfectly reasonable” to question why Prime Minister Anthony Albanese spent more time at the Australian Open than he did in Alice Springs, says Shadow Arts Minister Paul Fletcher.
Country Liberal Party Senator Jacinta Price has criticised the Prime Minister for spending three days at the tennis in Melbourne and less than a day in the Northern Territory amid the current crime crisis.
“The Prime Mister spent a lot of time at the tennis, enjoying corporate hospitality,” Mr Fletcher told Sky News Australia. “But there are pressing issues in relation to the safety of Indigenous Australians in Alice Springs, we’ve seen community leaders in the Pilbara and the Kimberley calling on the Prime Minister to visit places like Carnarvon.”
