Orvad, who has been in custody since his arrest in June 2022, faced Wollongong District Court from theSeven people sat in the Wollongong Court to support Orvad as Judge Andrew Haesler handed down his sentence. "His high sex drive led to viewing hours of porn daily — which became child abuse material," Judge Haesler said.
He went on to describe Orvad's "callous and predatory" behaviour as having a "profound" impact on the victims."Every time content is viewed, the offender is reminded of pictorial evidence of the abuse, providing further encouragement to those who produce it."Judge Haesler said the 15-year maximum jail penalty for some child-abuse crimes reflected community attitudes.
