KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit is expected to linger around at 4.21 to 4.22 against the US dollar next week but with an upside bias for the greenback after Friday’s US non-farm payrolls (NFP) unexpectedly rose sharply by 254,000 jobs in September.
A RM350mil allocation to Sarawak by the Federal Government should, in part, be used to establish a cancer centre in Sibu, says a local party branch chief.
“If Kuching is ultimately chosen, we hope that at least a satellite cancer centre can be built in Sibu to provide a certain level of treatment for patients in the central region,” said Wong, who is also SUPP Central assistant organising secretary. “As the Prime Minister said, he was impressed by Dr Sim’s enthusiasm and I will also follow up with him regarding the establishment of a cancer centre in Sibu,” he said.
He had on multiple occasions raised the urgent need for the two medical centres in the central region.
