“We will continue the campaign against illegal drugs but we should also make sure that our police officers will respect human rights,” he said in an interview after the turnover rites at the Camp Ruperto Kangleon in Palo town.
Calanoga said there would be no revamp or reshuffling in the organization until he is able to review the performances of the policemen in the region.The turnover ceremony on Saturday was presided by Lt. Gen. Patrick Villacorte, the commander of the Area Police Command for Visayas; Tacloban City Mayor and Regional Peace and Order Council chairman Alfred Romualdez; and Regional Director Arnel Agabe of the Department of Interior and Local Government, among others.
