CAGAYAN Governor Manuel Mamba suspended classes from pre-school to elementary in the province because of the threat posed by Tropical Depression Florita.Monday was the first day of in-person classes in public schools.In a Facebook post, Mamba reminded the public to stay safe as the province was placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.

Light to moderate with at times heavy rain may prevail in the province until tonight, followed by possible heavy to intense with at times torrential rain until tomorrow evening.Other areas placed under Signal No. 1 are Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and the northern portion of Aurora .Classes in pre-school are automatically suspended when an area is placed under Signal No. 1.
