Nigeria 's U17 team, the Golden Eaglets , received a boost ahead of the WAFU B Championship in Ghana after the Confederation of African Football gave the 20 Nigeria n players a clean bill of health after passing mandatory tests.
The Eaglets’ primary goal is to secure one of the two qualifying spots for the Africa U17 Cup of Nations. They’ll take a one-game-at-a-time approach, starting with their opener against Burkina Faso on Thursday at the University Stadium . After missing the World Relays in Bahamas, Godson Brume fulfilled expectations at the SEC Outdoor Championships in Florida, where he ran inside 10 seconds for the first time this season to book his ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
There will be no rest for Tobi Amusan in her quest to add the Olympic gold medal to the World 100m hurdles title she won two years ago in Oregon, U.S.
