Fake news.
In a statement to Bursa Malaysia on Thursday it said news and documents have been circulating on social media platforms alluding to news Cabnet Systems Sdn Bhd had received a letter of award from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The contract claimed was for Cabnet Systems to supply, install, test, commission and maintain CCTV system, lift access system and door access system for police lock-ups nationwide. “The board wishes to clarify that the news is fake and has no basis and that the Company has not been awarded any such contract, ” it said.
Cabnet said the board is not aware of the origin of the news and will be taking all such actions deemed necessary to safeguard the interest and reputation of the company, including making reports to the relevant authorities, if deemed necessary. “Shareholders and investors are advised to exercise caution when trading in the shares of the company, ” it said.
