Cabinet’s ‘last opportunity’ to do right by Parliament, Kit Siang says

LIM Kit Siang has urged the cabinet, which is meeting this morning to decide on a virtual Parliament session, to allow a longer sitting with full functions instead of a one-day affair on May 18. “The cabinet meeting this morning is the last opportunity to spare the country from the twin ignominy of a one-day Parliament and the bad practice of emasculating and marginalising parliamentary oversight and scrutiny of government actions in the Covid-19 pandemic.
