PUTRAJAYA: The Cabinet is against racist and extremist acts as it will affect unity in the country.
It said in a statement that the act by certain parties which lodged a police report against Chinese New Year decorations put up at SMK Pusat Bandar Puchong 1 was viewed seriously during its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Wednesday .
“Malaysians make up a community of different cultures and we celebrate and embrace these festivities together for many years. “The Cabinet does not agree at all with racist and extreme acts of certain parties as it will jeopardise unity in the country, ” said the statement.
