Malaysian Minister of Plantation and Commodities Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani stated that declaring assets is not a problem and should be done by all cabinet members. He personally declared his assets while serving as a minister under the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration.
KUALA LUMPUR: Pengisytiharan harta oleh semua anggota Kabinet Kerajaan Perpaduan bukan suatu masalah dan boleh dilakukan oleh semua Jemaah Menteri.
Sebelum ini, Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dilaporkan berkata, beliau sedia mengisytiharkan harta pada bila-bila masa, sambil menekankan kepentingan ketelusan dalam tadbir urus ketika membidas ahli politik yang keberatan mengisytiharkan harta. Namun, gesaan itu dibuat terhadap ahli parlimen pembangkang dalam memorandum persefahaman mengenai peruntukan kepada mereka.
