An international survey of the cost of living in cities has ranked the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh as the second most expensive city to live in in South-East Asia.
The Home Minister said that the decision was made by the Cabinet "weeks ago" and that a special committee headed by the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, along with other ministerial and Attorney General's Chambers representatives, will discuss the terms and conditions for the management of the Foreign Workers Centralised Management System .
The committee, which has already been formed, will discuss contract terms and build upon new terms to"support several objectives". "First, to bring about four principles which is to quicken the application process, to reduce migration cost and aspects for foreign worker welfare in the country and the interests of employers," he said during a press conference at the ministry headquarters here on Monday .
