A bus in Bangkok, Thailand, became suspended above the road after its left-wing mirror got entangled in low-hanging cables. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and, thankfully, no injuries were reported. A crane was used to lower the bus back to the ground.
An unusual incident occurred in Bangkok , Thailand, on February 10th when a bus was seen hanging precariously above the road, its front end entangled in low-hanging cables. According to the Bangkok Post, emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene and discovered the bus suspended from cables along the roadside, with its front wheels approximately 3 meters off the ground. The heavy vehicle's left-wing mirror had become entangled in the cables.
The bus driver, identified as Apinya, recounted that she had just crossed the Bangkok Bridge and was heading towards Chom Thong Road when the bus began to slide off the road, causing her to lose control. Fortunately, the bus carried only a driver, a conductor, and three passengers, and there were no reports of any injuries. Apinya explained that she struggled to maintain control of the wheel, attempting to steer the bus leftward and avoid colliding with other vehicles. Ultimately, the left-wing mirror became snagged on the low-hanging cables, lifting the front of the bus high above the ground. Upon exiting the bus, Apinya noticed a substance resembling a mixture of water and engine oil on the road nearby. Repair crews successfully removed the cables from the bus, and a crane was deployed to carefully lower it back to the ground. Thankfully, the bus appeared to have sustained no visible damage. The incident has sparked discussions and raised questions about road safety measures and the potential hazards posed by low-hanging cables in urban areas.
