A upstate New York school bus driver avoided jail time after pleading guilty to raping a 14-year-old girl who was on his route.
Shane Piche, 25, was sentenced to 10 years probation and must register as a sex offender — but escaped time behind bars due to the fact that he had no previous arrests, according to the Watertown Daily Times. “I wish Shane Piche would have received time in jail for the harm he caused to my child,” the victim’s mother said in a statement.
“He took something from my daughter she will never get back and has caused her to struggle with depression and anxiety.” Police said that Piche met the girl while on the job as a bus driver and had sex with her at his apartment in Jefferson County.We Want to Hear from You Join the conversation
