Bursa Malaysia remains higher at mid-afternoon

At 3pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI rose 6.61 points to 1,549.41 from yesterday’s close of 1,542.80, after opening 2.09 points firmer at 1,544.89 this morning. Among heavyweights on Bursa Malaysia, Maybank rose five sen to RM8.53, Tenaga gained 16 sen to RM12.66, Public Bank increased four sen to RM18.32 and Petronas Chemicals was 21 sen higher at RM6.60.
