At 3.06 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI rebounded 4.11 points, or 0.27 per cent, to 1,522.54 from yesterday’s close of 1,518.43.Overall, market breadth remained negative with losers surpassing gainers 467 to 392, while 447 counters were unchanged, 819 untraded and 19 others suspended.A dealer said buying interest had restored in the blue-chip counters, as investors saw political clarity with no major announcement being made by opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today.
Maxis rose six sen to RM5.09, Public Bank strengthened 10 sen to RM15.92 and Petronas Dagangan firmed 30 sen to RM19.80. The top gainers list was led by Nestle, which surged RM1.10 to RM140.20, followed by MPI which leapt 60 sen to RM19.80.
