At 9.05am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI rose 1.75 points to 1,621.15 from last Friday's close of 1,619.40.On the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 294 to 166, with 341 counters unchanged, 1,606 untraded and 25 others suspended.
“We noticed that other than planters most sectors reported encouraging earnings for first quarter of 2024.Among the heavyweight counters, Maybank and Public Bank added one sen each to RM9.99 and RM4.18, respectively, Tenaga Nasional slid two sen to RM13.08 while CIMB and Petronas Chemicals were flat each at RM6.88 and RM6.93, respectively.
