At 3pm, the benchmark index was up 3.26 points at 1,635.50 compared with Thursday’s close of 1,632.24. The broader market, however, stayed negative as losers led gainers 401 to 337, with 358 counters unchanged, 809 untraded and 18 others suspended.Among the heavyweight counters, Maybank and Public Bank rose two sen each to RM9.27 and RM22.50 respectively, while Petronas Chemicals was flat at RM8.95 with TNB fell four sen to RM12.24.
