THE Bureau of Corrections released 281 inmates on Monday. The latest batch of people deprived of liberty who gained their freedom are mostly those who have completed their prison sentences. The PDLs were from the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City and other prison facilities under the jurisdiction of the BuCor.

The BuCor said 24 of the inmates were detained at the NBP maximum security compound, while 45 were from the national penitentiary's medium security prison. Last November 24, 2022, the bureau released 281 PDLs.
