KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Umno is willing to accept all former members, including former party treasurer Datuk Seri Mohd Salleh Said Keruak, says state Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
However, he said Sabah Umno was now focused on strengthening its position after losing some leaders and members due to a spate of defections in December 2018, following the fall of Sabah Barisan Nasional state government in the 14th General Election.
Bung was asked to comment on a news portal report that former chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman and former cabinet minister Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan were against the idea of taking back Salleh. Several other top leaders also left to join Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia , which spread its wings to Sabah in April 2019.
