A responding Harris County sheriff's deputy's life may have been saved after her laptop...
Harris County Precinct 4 Constables received a call around 1 a.m. about a 50-year-old man holding a gun at a woman at a home in the 6900 block of Foxbrook, according to police scanner traffic.
A shootout occured between SWAT officers and a man who allegedly held a gun at a woman in north Houston.When the first deputy arrived, the man shot at her, and bullets hit her car window and laptop. Even as several other police officers arrived, the man continued to shoot. Several deputies and SWAT officers shot back at the man as he returned fire from inside and outside the home. Neither law enforcement officers nor the suspect were injured.Neighbors nearby stated they were afraid and"couldn't believe they were in the middle of a shootout," Metro Video Services reported.
The suspect also told deputies he"wanted to die" and"was doing this to die by being shot by an officer," according to Metro Video Services.
