The provincial government of Bulacan received the 2022 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Award from the Department of the Interior and Local Government for its continuous effort to become a drug-free province and for having a high-functional Anti-Drug Abuse Council .
Included in the roster of awardees were the Cities of Meycauayan, San Jose Del Monte, and Baliwag, and municipalities of Balagtas, Guiguinto, Plaridel, San Miguel, and Doña Remedios Trinidad. DILG-Central Luzon Regional Director Anthony C. Nuyda also announced during the program the launching of the “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Iwasan” or BIDA Program.
In her message as honorary guest, lawyer Margarita Gutierrez, DILG Undersecretary for Plans, Public Affairs, and Communication and focal person of the BIDA program, said that she is counting on the local ADACs to be an inspiration to others in the country’s fight against drug abuse.
