The company has since issued a public apology for the incident – but authorities decided to further their investigation, leading to the closure of the Buy & Save store.According to the official DBKL Facebook page, authorities have found that the store does not carry the proper business permit for its sales activities.
Following the announcement, many netizens praised DBKL for their work on investigating the store. Some urged them to continue the work with other stores in the entire Kuala Lumpur area. However, a few netizens also questioned the store’s fate if the video did not go viral in the first place. Some even wondered if authorities were doing regular checks before the viral video.
