KUALA LUMPUR: Four female Myanmar nationals, who were exploited to work at a shophouse turned entertainment outlet in Bandar Puchong, were rescued following an operation on Monday (Sept 11).
The raid was conducted by Bukit Aman CID's Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants unit at about 10.40am on Monday following information and intelligence gathered several days prior.
"The women were initially promised work as waitresses at a restaurant with RM1,500 salary a month, by one of three male Myanmar nationals, who were detained, who is the main suspect.
