Bukit Aman confirms that Ebit Liew's residence was searched

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Police confirmed that a search was conducted at the residence of celebrity preacher Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew, or better known as Ustaz Ebit Lew, on Thursday (Aug 19).

KUALA LUMPUR : Police confirmed that a search was conducted at the residence of celebrity preacher Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew, or better known as Ustaz Ebit LewBukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan said it was conducted to facilitate investigation after the police recorded his statement.Ebit was summoned to Bukit Aman Thursday to record his statement over allegation of sexual harassment.

The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code, Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act. – Bernama
