Budweiser’s Hong Kong IPO may pop open more M&A, says jgfarb:
Anheuser-Busch InBev, the brewer of Budweiser and Stella Artois, on May 10 filed a draft prospectus for an initial public offering in Hong Kong of its Asia business. The Budweiser Brewing Co APAC share sale could raise at least $5 billion, Reuters reported, citing unnamed sources.
The company’s Asia-Pacific business, whose main markets are China and Australia, generated about $8.5 billion of revenue and $2.8 billion of EBITDA last year.
