EFFECTIVE implementation of income tax relief for individuals covering their elderly parents’ healthcare bills and for families with children with disabilities is essential to ensure that those in need can benefit fully.
“This is timely, and as a son taking care of my ageing mother, I feel relieved and grateful,” he shared. Parents will also be included in the tax relief for sports equipment and activities expenses while grandparents will be covered as part of the relief for parents’ medical treatment costs. “With rising food prices, this will help ease the burden on the rakyat buying essential goods,” she noted, calling the announcement long-awaited news.
