Anheuser-Busch has put two Bud Light executives on leave following backlash over partnership with transgender activist and influencer Dylan Mulvaney, according to reports.that the two marketing executives had faced backlash over collaborating with the TikTok star on Instagram and death threats earlier this month.

Now Daniel Blake, Budweiser’s group vice president for marketing and Alissa Heinerscheid, vice president of marketing for Bud Light, have taken leaves of absence,“Given the circumstances, Alissa has decided to take a leave of absence which we support. Daniel has also decided to take a leave of absence,” a company spokesperson confirmed via email.

The announcement comes on the heels of backlash from conservatives and online critics, Anheuser-Busch facilities receiving also receiving threats — including a bomb threat — and bar patrons fighting over the partnership.
