Buchanan's Native Plants is spreading some holiday cheer by offering free Christmas trees to families and individuals in need. Starting Monday, a little more than 500 trees with stands will be available for pick up from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis, until supply lasts, said the CFO Heather Buchanan.
The free trees vary from Concolor firs, Nordmann firs, Noble firs and Fraser firs, and range from 4 feet to 12 feet tall. No trees will be reserved and the giveaway is limited to one tree per household.Buchanan’s has been serving Houston gardeners since 1986. Located in historic Houston Heights, the garden center is dedicated to native plants and organic gardening, all suited to the Houston climate.
Buchanan's Native Plants is located at 611 E 11th St, Houston, TX 77008. The nursery will be open on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and will be closed on Christmas Day.
