Texas A&M says Buc-ee's founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin III is contributing $50 million toward an academic center billed as an “immersive learning laboratory” in hospitality, retail studies and food product development. That's a lot of Beaver Nuggets.
The founder of Buc-ee’s is forking out the bucks to create a hospitality program at his former school.
It’s one of the largest private donations the school has ever received, and comes 40 years after the founding of Aplin’s franchise, Buc-ee’s. “When Beaver Aplin does something, it’s never halfway,” Texas A&M University System Chancellor John Sharp said.
