South Korean singer Jin of K-pop boy band BTS said he was honoured to take part in the Olympic torch relay on July 14.
Jin, who led the Louvre Museum section of the relay, was greeted by cheers from waiting fans when he emerged from the torch relay centre at the museum at around 8pm, Yonhap News Agency reported. He was escorted by the police as he moved to a nearby street and was handed the torch. He ran for about 200m before returning to the torch relay centre at the museum, according to Yonhap.
